Further to my letter dated the 2nd March 2007 I enclose the relevant documents to accompany and support this letter and referred to in the said letter dated 02/03/2007.
- Copy of Memorandum 45, Submitted by Norwich Union Insurance Company (CA 166) UK Home Affairs Select Committee 2002 re: Historical Abuse. We would also refer you to the other submissions to this committee by Norwich and the other parties in relation to compensation and other matters.
- Copy of letter to Dr James Johnston, Clerk, Petitions Committee letter dated 06/12/2004 re: Submission of documents to the Petitions Committee in reference to Mr John Porteous working for the Quarriers organisation while under Police investigation. These letters dated 1999 and 2000 written by Mrs Helen Porteous to Ms Irene Whelan were submitted to the Petitions Committee.
- Copy of letter from Pam Barr to Mr D Whelan dated 05/07/2004, PB 347 in reference to Mr William (Bill) Dunbar former Director of Quarriers Homes who holds an enormous amount of information and is called upon his memory in relation to Quarriers even though he is retired! Mr Dunbar was responsible for the Confidential Children's files up to 2001.
- Copy letter from Mr Phil Robinson to FBGA group dated 06/09/2006, PR 3140/LM, in reference to Confidential Children's Files. I would draw your attention to point four the ex-employee and former member of staff he is referring to in this letter is Mr William Dunbar previous archivist and former Director.
