A WOMAN told last night how she was sexually abused and assaulted at a children's care centre.

The 40-year-old claimed Quarrier's Village house parent John Porteous fondled her in her bed.

She also said the 69-year-old forced her to touch him.

The witness - at Quarriers from the age of four - claimed Porteous's wife Helen, 59, would "batter and skelp her" at the village in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire.

The couple deny a string of charges. The trial at the High Court in Glasgow continues.
