Email to Quarriers regarding childrens confidential files. From David Whelan on behalf of the FBGA, 24/09/06 Dear Louisa, Can you thank Mr Robinson for his recent email. We have been inundated by a number of former children with concerns and would like to seek clarification on the following: 1. We are seeking clarification on what processes/procedures if any are currently being undertaken or instigated by Quarriers as we understand they are transferring the data from these files to an electronic record (accordingly up to 1943 only at present) with the rest later. 2. We understand this is being done by another agency (we are seeking clarification which agency if this is the case). 3. Are steps being taken to safeguard all the information as a complete record? 4. Where will the original complete paper Confidential Children's File be held - will it be Quarriers? 5. How will Quarriers inform former children of these possible changes/measures? Yours Sincerely |
